faces –– poetry

Faces

1.

eyebrows almost

imperceptibly knit,

slight squint,

nose hooks

on thin lips

gently pulled into a straight line –

the thinker is thinking.

2.

daisy yellow

hair slides in

and out of

twiddling fingers.

pale as the moon

on a dark night –

but shines so Bright

everything around

her casts a shadow.

making one forget

she’s in the dark

3.

strawberry hair

frames a goofy

grin with a

laugh to

match

I’ll Pay you a

shmeckle

if you aren’t

charmed by

those cheeks

speckled with

freckles

4.

biting black eyebrows.

the cherry on top

of her chronic

resting bitch face

which was best cured

with chronic

a pupper,

or a hearty

truffle supper

5.

marble jaw

wiggles and whines

tries to break loose

from chiseled

cheekbone chains

but no one

pays attention

to anything

but those

silver eyes

that will

pull you in

until you’ve

sank

6.

pine nut eyes

wet black nose

Greets a hand

runs away

Kiss & Click

of the tongue

pine nut returns

7.

brazen lips

deceived by

puppy dog eyes

look through a lens

to capture moments

reflecting a

sensitive heart

and painfully

sensitive ears

which listen

and absorb

until sassy lips

reveal recesses

of a subjects mind

Giggle

Shock –

Of bright

Hair will

kick you

In the

Nuts.

balances a face

that can flip

between mad

looks to mad

love in a beat

hear him speak

while Pointed

nose Points at –

you..

look up to be

stabbed by

staring eyes

only then

realizing a

sharp tongue

is cutting you

from the

inside out
