My mission in Social Work is to make a positive difference in young peoples lives. I want to create the space for young people channel their leadership skills, discover what they’re passionate about and affect positive change in their community. This is accomplished in my work through YouthTank by facilitating experiential learning that gives young people the opportunity to work on real world projects that blend entrepreneurship, leadership, and career readiness and the platform to present their work to the world. Through my career experience and my studies at the University of Michigan where I earned a BA in Art and Design and a Masters in Social Work, I developed a strong background in partnership-building, curriculum design, creative facilitation, research, and grant writing, all of which I draw on to help make our programming both engaging and meaningful. I believe investing in young people’s future is an investment in my future and generations beyond me. Contact me if you'd like to work together!

Projects

During the Summer of 2025 I was able to join YouthTank as a Program Manager. I had the opportunity to design curriculum for our Entrepreneurship and Art teams and coach them through their projects, which they presented at “Demo Day”, the event featured above.

For this project I was given the opportunity to facilitate curriculum to guide YouthTank interns in producing work that we they presented at the 2024 Detroit Youth Mobility Summit. I also worked along side these interns in the planning and execution of the summit.
